Privacy policy

Trimlet collects no data.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads and no account. Your audio stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share it.

Who this covers

This policy covers the Trimlet app for iPhone, its Share extension and this website. Trimlet is made by Mo, an independent developer. Questions go to .

What Trimlet collects

Nothing. Trimlet has no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no third-party tracking code. There is no account and nothing to sign in to. Trimlet doesn’t send anything about you or how you use it to me or to anyone else.

On the App Store, Trimlet’s privacy label says Data Not Collected.

Your audio

Everything Trimlet does happens on your iPhone. When you open a file or a video, Trimlet makes a copy inside the app and works on that copy; the original is never changed. Your clips are kept on your iPhone, in the app and in Files › On My iPhone › Trimlet, until you delete them.

Audio only leaves your iPhone when you send it somewhere yourself, for example by sharing a clip to another app or saving it to a cloud folder in Files. What happens to it then is up to that app or service.

If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or a computer, your Trimlet clips are included in that backup like any other app’s files. That’s handled by Apple and your backup settings, not by Trimlet.

Settings

Your preferences, such as appearance, the default format and whether Keep pitch is on, are stored on your iPhone only.

Tips and ratings

Tips are optional in-app purchases, and Apple processes them. Trimlet never sees your name, Apple Account or payment details. Apple tells the app only that a purchase went through, so it can say thank you. Apple’s privacy policy covers the payment.

If you rate or review Trimlet, that happens on the App Store, under Apple’s terms.

If you email me

If you write to or use Send feedback in the app, I receive your email address, your message and anything you attach (Send feedback adds the app version). I use them only to reply, never for marketing, and I don’t share them. Ask and I’ll delete our conversation.

This website

This website has no cookies, analytics or trackers, and it doesn’t load anything from other sites. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes the technical information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, and keeps it briefly for security. Cloudflare’s privacy policy covers that.

Children

Trimlet collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If Trimlet ever needs to collect anything, the policy will say so first, and so will the App Store privacy label.
